UK manufacturer DARAY Medical, exhibiting for the third consecutive year in a row, have extended their range of surgical lights to include the new model that they are calling their ‘most versatile lighting product yet’.

Distinctive features include red light control, which allows for optimum viewing of tissues during surgical procedures, and near-perfect colour rendering, vital for the monitoring of patient health and well-being by surgical staff.

Full dimming capability and colour temperature control are presented via an illuminated digital control panel, offering incredibly intuitive adjustment of the light output. The controls are situated on the light head itself, a position designed to provide further convenience for the user.

The S440 utilises a more slimline head than any previous model, with no compromise to customers’ lighting requirements. The new addition boasts an even, shadow-free and heat-free beam of light, providing ‘excellent depth of illumination’, a minimum 40,000 hour LED lifecycle, and a fully-enclosed, infection-controlling design.

A superb range of movement extends the new product’s flexibility, provided by a spring-balanced dual-arm system, enabling users to achieve total, effortless control over positioning.

Along with their ever-improving surgical lighting range, DARAY continue to offer a wide selection of environmentally-friendly Examination and Patient reading lights. Derbyshire-based DARAY have a long history in the manufacture and supply of environmentally-friendly LED products, aiming to significantly reduce energy usage and costs within healthcare establishments.
