DARAY’s V409 is a simple and accurate fingertip pulse oximeter. |
|
| |
The device measures simultaneously the oxygen saturation in the blood (% SpO2) and the patient’s pulse rate (BPM); it also displays an indication of pulse strength. The V409 is self contained, light and powered from 2 AAA alkaline batteries which should last for at least 30 hours continuous operation. Auto shutdown after 4 seconds prolongs battery life, and an indicator shows battery-state. |

How it works
The V409 pulse oximeter projects an LED-produced light of specific wavelength through the fingernail. A sensor on the other side of the finger passes the received light to a microprocessor which interprets changes in the received light and converts it to a recognisable format which is shown on the LCD display. |
