DARAY’s operating theatre lights are specifically designed for operating area illumination.
They ensure a comfortable working environment for those performing and assisting surgery. Built to withstand the continuous use from a busy environment, the SL300 series can be personalised to suit your needs including single or multiple heads, camera, LCD monitor, LED technology and various mounting options.
The SL350 and SL320 both have a high light intensity and give even light distribution on the operating area with perfect colour differentiation. Their lightweight construction makes the lights easy to move allowing accurate and stable positioning.
The SL390 range of operating theatre lights uses LED technology to give low heat radiation in the theatre and has the benefit of high light intensity with perfect colour rendering.
The SL300 is specifically designed for all types of minor surgical procedures and has a range of mounting options to suit your facilities.
Halogen bulb
(SL300, SL320, SL350 and SL370)
Uses the light emission from an incandescent filament inside a compact envelope. The advantage is a very high colour rendering index (Ra > 96).
Gas discharge lamp (SL370)
Uses the light emission from electric arc burning between electrodes in a metal vapour environment. Discharge in these lamps occurs in mercury, argon and metal halogen vapour under high pressure.
Advantages of gas discharge lamps:
high light efficiency
stable, high colour temperature
high colour rendering index.
LED (SL390)
LEDs are semiconductors. When the device is 'switched on', energy is released in the form of light. This effect is called electroluminescence.
Advantages of LEDs:
long life
low power consumption
low supply voltage
small physical size
The use of LEDs in operating theatre lights as opposed to traditional technologies has the following advantages:
very low heat radiation in the light beam
possibility of colour temperature adjustment without changing other light parameters enabling the surgeon to adjust light parameters to the specific requirements of the surgical treatment performed
spatial arrangement of lighting elements and use of special lenses enables obtaining homogenous and shadow-free light from the whole lamp
extremely long life; approximately 20,000 hours compared to traditional light sources; halogen bulbs (~1000 h) and discharge lamps (~5000 h)
